Ninety-Nine doctors of Tidewater Virginia and North Carolina met in Norfolk on January 20, 1898, and perfected an organization to be known as "Seaboard Medical Association". It will meet in January and July of each year in Norfolk, or within forty miles of it, and in North Carolina, alternately. Only graduates of regular colleges who are physicians in good standing are admitted to membership.
On the 20th, Dr. Southgate Leigh of Norfolk lectures on the "X-Ray", exhibiting the workings of the apparatus, and afterward entertained the members at his home. A number of papers were read and the meeting was a great success. |
